American Queen Voyages Expedition Cruise

I am now just a couple of short weeks away from setting sail on an American Queen Voyages expedition cruise and I could not be more excited! This once-in-a-lifetime trip will allow me to learn more about conservation, explore the majestic fjords, bays, and passages of the Alaskan and Canadian coasts, and of course - photograph wildlife!

The 11 day excursion starts in Sitka, Alaska and disembarks in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Even more impressive, the vessel, Ocean Victory, was designed with responsible travel in mind.

“Built for exploration in earth’s most fragile places, our ships use the cleanest available fuel, offer unique access to wilderness waters, and provide an unparalleled platform for discovery.” (https://www.aqvoyages.com/vessels/ocean-victory/)

While this isn’t solely a photography expedition, I am extremely excited to capture anything and everything that I encounter, including: whales, bears, and eagles. I plan to visit wildlife sanctuaries and hope to gain a better understanding of the beautiful creatures that inhabit these amazing lands. I also got myself a new little photography toy - the GoPro Hero 10! It’s waterproof, so stay tuned for what I might see under the surface while on a kayaking adventure at the Waterfall Coast.

I have a feeling this is going to be an amazing trip. I look forward to sharing this journey with you in the weeks to come!
